Dad's 50th!

My dad turned the big 5-0 this year and my mom threw him an AWESOME surprise party 70's style!
Happy 50th dad! Love you!
We got him good!

My dad's AMAZING cakes that our friend Julie made for him!
Uncle Steve & Aunt Laura
Ammon with Grandma Curry :)
Koda had to join in the fun!
Loves his Aunt Kelsey!

It was the perfect weekend to go down because our niece, Emmie was getting baptized in Panaca!
So proud of you Em!

Labor Day Surprise!

My sweet and adorable husband decided that I needed a little pick me up and so he called my little sister Brittany and she came up to visit for the weekend! I definitely needed some family time!
Thanks Britt! Love you!
How can you not love that face?
Thanks Johnstone's for letting us ride your horses!

The HOME stretch!

The last few weeks of our summer vacay we spent with our family.  It was so fun being with them but let me tell you...we were SO ready to be able to sleep in our own bed by the time we got home!
Nothing like a friendly game of Badmitten...that turned into a little banjo playing
and a little rock band! (is it just me or do they look like trolls?)
So glad that I got to see Leigh and her sweet Janessa!
And meet this cute little girl, our new niece, Klaire.
We spent the 24th in Panaca and Uncle Robert was definitely the favorite bringing his bounce house!
Addie-Lou!
Uncle Ray-Ray with Travis!
We were so glad to see Grandpa Price!

We had such an AMAZING summer! Definitely not one we'll do again soon but SO worth it!

Denver...

The last little stretch of our trip, we went through Denver and the Braves were playing the Rockies so we couldn't miss it!  We stayed with one of the sisters I served with on my mission, Julia Rosenlof (Smith now!)  It was so much fun to be able to catch up with her! I served with the best sisters!
Right after we passed this sign, it started to rain and there was a double rainbow! It was so pretty I had to jump out of the car to take a picture even if grasshoppers were jumping all over me!
Are you beginning to see a theme to our trip...I don't think I've seen this much baseball in my life! :)
My hubby was in HEAVEN!
Thanks Julia and Nate! We had so much fun!

Independence...

One of the parts of our trip that I was the most excited about was going back to
Missouri and being able to take Raymond to see my mission!
My home away from home! Oh how I missed you Missouri!
The Kansas City Missouri Temple!
SO Beautiful! Already planning my next trip once it's dedicated!

 Liberty
Raymond finally got to put faces to all the names that I always talk about!
Sweet Wendy!

Jacob & Sarah Wolfe & Brian & Brittany!
Anna and her family! Love them!
Bailey and MaKayla! They were my little sisters while I was gone!
I feel so blessed to have served my mission in Independence!  I've been thinking about it a lot lately and the lessons that I learned truly have prepared me for the trials that I face today.  Studying about the prophet Joseph Smith and learning about Zion have such a personal meaning to me and a day never goes by without thinking about some lesson that I learned while serving.
